Thesis

Coral reef fish populations of peninsular Malaysia and its habitat connectivity

Description

I’ll look at the population genetics and connectivity of marine organisms of islands/sites of the east and west coasts of peninsular Malaysia. Limited tissues samples of various organisms (fish, corals and other invertebrates) will be collected and molecular genetic analysis of the samples will be conducted in the genetics laboratory, using mitochondrial DNA to establish the levels of connectivity among the sites and islands.
