Individual-based modelling of short-term movement of juvenile bull sharks
Description
My research will be aimed at correlating fine-scale short-term continuous tracks of juvenile C. leucas (Bull sharks) with a range of hydro-dynamic and biological parameters produced by state-of-the-art numerical models MIKE 21 and ECOLab in a semi-enclosed estuarine system, Tallebudgera Creek. Furthermore, the project will be the first ever attempt to develop a dynamic individual-based model capable of explaining and replicating parts of the observed movement patterns of a juvenile bull shark.
