This special lecture series is dedicated to the memory of the visionary environmental scientist Professor Peter Cullen, AO, FTSE. It provides a forum to bring together scientists and policy makers, to discuss priority knowledge needs to underpin the sustainable management of our water resources.

 

2011 Special Lecture    

UNFORTUNATELY THE SPECIAL LECTURE HAS BEEN CANCELLED.  WE HOPE TO RESCHEDULE EARLY IN 2012.

Professor Charles Vörösmarty of the City University of New York will be the guest speaker at this year's event.

Date:    Tuesday 22 November 2011
Time:    5.30pm (guests to register from 5.00pm) followed by a networking event at 7.00pm
Venue:  Ian Hangar Recital Hall, Queensland Conservatorium, 140 Grey Street, South Bank

2010 Special Lecture

Ms Qiuchi Shi (Director, Water Resources Protection Division, Ministry of Water Resources, PR China) and Ms Robyn Kruk AM (Secretary, Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts) discussed the challenges of sustainable water resource management. 


2009 Special Lecture

Mr Rob Freeman (Chief Executive, Murray-Darling Basin Authority) and Dr Cliff Dahm (Lead Scientist, CALFED Bay-Delta Program, California) discussed the role of science in integrated river basin management.
