New partnership with the Chinese Academy of Sciences
The Australian Rivers Institute (ARI) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Key Laboratory of Aquatic Botany and Watershed Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (KLABWE CAS).
Griffith University Vice Chancellor Professor Ian O’Connor signed the MoU with Vice-Director Gong Junjie on behalf of the Wuhan Botanical Garden (WBG), Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The MoU will facilitate the cooperation between the two parties and help carry out joint research projects on river and wetland science. ARI and KLABWE will seek to facilitate exchange of academic papers, data and information.
In addition, both parties will benefit from jointly appointed staff and cooperate in the training and supervision of postgraduate students. Funds will also be available to support research and visits of academic staff and students across the two institutions.
