On Friday 27 May 2011, at Gold Coast campus a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Vice Chancellor of Griffith University, Professor Ian O’Connor, and Professor Ma Jian, President of ChangAn University in Shanxi Province the PR China. Having recognised the mutal benefits derived from scholarly interaction, the parties wanted to establish joint research collaborations in water and environmental science. The signing of the MOU was witnessed by ARI’s Deputy Directors, Professors Joe Lee and Jon Olley. ARI is developing similar MOUs for research collaboration with other institutions in China.
