Architectural Education at Griffith consists of a three year undergraduate degree, titled Bachelor of Environmental Design (Architecture). A second major in Environmental Sustainability is also offered.
With today's emphasis in architecture on sustainable, environmentally sensitive approaches to buildings and urban spaces, Architecture fits well as a discipline with the ethos of the Griffith School of Environment which has a strong reputation in environmental studies and an emerging strength in environmental planning.
This program specialises in the sustainable design of buildings, urban systems, public places, transport nodes and recreation and conservation areas, with an emphasis on tropical/subtropical climates relevant to the local region as well as to South East Asia.
