We believe in architecture that improves people's lives. Through our internationally acclaimed teaching and research, we explore the philosophical, historical, social, spatial and environmental implications of architecture.
Our architecture program will prepare you for your place in the world, not just the local region. You will be exposed to both international and domestic practices, inspiring teachers, have access to dedicated state-of-the-art studios, and have the opportunity to undertake industry integrated experience. Our Architecture program is the first to be delivered on the Gold Coast. Our new Landscape Architecture program commences in 2014.
A focus on sustainability
Our Architecture program and research utilises the wealth of knowledge within the University on climate change and adaption and the sciences and engineering engaged with creating a more sustainable future. We have a particular focus on design for tropical/subtropical climates, relevant to the region as well as to South-East Asia, and on sustainable design for a changing future.
