Griffith University is currently undertaking a collective bargaining negotiation process with the following Industrial Unions.

- Australian Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers Union
- Community Public Sector Union
- Communications Electrical Plumbing Union
- National Tertiary Education Union

The University began negotiations on 3 December 2008.
