Griffith University is the first Australian tertiary institution to develop an engineering degree with a dual focus on sporting and biomedical practices.

Engineering students participate in the completion of an industry based project in their final year. The Industry Affiliates Programs offers students practice workplace experience and many graduates found full-time employment through Work Integrated Learning. Students will have the opportunity to undertake industry placements at the Australian Institute of Sport, Queensland Academy of Sport, Olympic Winter Institute of Sport and a range of other areas.
