With increasing demand to meet technological advances, our School is meeting the challenge by launching the exciting new Mechanical Engineering program in 2012 on the Gold Coast campus. In conjunction with our Mechatronics program, our programs are offering you degrees on the forefront of the latest cutting-edge designs and diverse engineering disciplines.
What is Mechanical Engineering?
In 2012, we will be launching Mechanical Engineering on our Gold Coast campus. Mechanical Engineering will focus on the design, manufacture and maintenance of mechanical and machinery programs. As one of the most traditional, oldest and broadest engineering disciplines, our new Mechanical Engineering program will prepare you with a broad education and industry ready skills necessary to become a professional mechanical engineer.
What is Mechatronic Engineering?
Mechatronics is the future of engineering.
Mechatronics combines traditional engineering fields of mechanical, electronics, electrical and computer systems with the design and development of new technologies in a world undergoing rapid technological advances.
Mechatronic Engineering embraces robotics, industrial control systems and human interfaces in numerous disciplines and is a major step beyond "electromechanical," in which only electricity is required. Mechatronic systems employ microprocessors and software as well as special-purpose electronics.
