Research expertise

Dr Jeung-Hwan Doh's research interests include the behaviour of normal and high strength concrete structures, particularly concrete walls, deep beams and concrete slabs. He undertook a series of large-scale tests on concrete walls and deep beams and derived design formula to be used by Engineering practitioners. As part of the research, a software tool (WASTABT) was developed, which provides a more accurate analytical method for evaluating the instability of wall panels. WASTABT has proven to be a useful design tool in situations where wall panels have varied reinforcement ratios, concrete strength and eccentricities.
