Electrical and electronic engineering encompasses a broad range of areas including

  • computer systems
  • telecommunications
  • control and electrical power engineering
  • electronics

You will design, build and develop programs and applications that generate, transmit, measure, install and control electrical power necessary for daily living and everyday devices.

This traditional form of engineering will teach you to look at the ways electrical energy is generated and used in residences, communities and organisations.

Our program will prepare you to work in many areas concerned with cutting-edge technologies in many different applications

  • electric motors
  • microelectronic chips
  • sensor of movement
  • complex control systems of robots
  • biomedical devices and instrumentation
  • electrical equipment for building and mining projects
  • defence and satellite systems
  • design of network systems to advanced communications systems

You will also be at the forefront of developing systems for renewable energy sources by making applications to reduce power and energy consumption in households and industry.

Our programs include the fundamentals of electrical and electronic engineering, and provide a wide range of knowledge and technical skills in key areas such as

  • communication
  • power generation
  • electrical machinery
  • digital signal processing
  • microprocessors
  • control systems

Employment opportunities are abundant, giving you the opportunity to work across a broad range of corporations, commercial industries, government departments and consultancies.
