The electronics industry is a quickly evolving area with high technology miniature circuits now found in all forms of devices and equipment from cell phones to automobiles. Electronic engineering has been offered at Griffith University for nearly 20 years, and Australia's first degree in microelectronic engineering was developed here. Our engineering programs are known for their innovation and practical relevance, and mix leading-edge research with hands-on experience in state-of-the-art laboratories. Students work within some of the most advanced teaching and research facilities in Australia, with access to the latest technology.
The university is strongly linked with the electronics industry and all students are placed into industry with our partners for a complete semester in final year. This provides invaluable real world experience and excellent employment opportunities. Opportunities even exist to take this placement overseas.
Through our range of programs you will develop the hardware and software design and implementation skills needed for a career in leading-edge, high-technology fields such as communications, microelectronics, computer systems, biomedical engineering, and control systems (robotics) power systems or sustainable energy systems.
