Research areas

  • Psychological well-being and adjustment to change and transition
  • Transition issues and education- for school leavers with disabilities, and early childhood transitions
  • Retirement issues, particularly related to relocation
  • Development of interpersonal skills and emotional competencies
  • Inclusive education
  • School evaluation and to increasing school capability

Research methodologies

  • Quantitative - questionnaire development, analysis, structural equation modelling
  • Qualitative- use of Leximancer analysis software

Current teaching areas

  • Interpersonal psychology - counselling, collaboration skills, consultation skills, teamwork, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and mediation skills, particularly applied to special education settings.
