Lisa is currently completing her Doctorate in Education. Her current research is in the area leadership and teacher identity in early childhood. Other research interests include children’s mental health and well being, young children and the environment, early childhood pedagogy and socio-cultural theory.

Consultancy
Lisa has worked in the early childhood field for 20 years. She brings wealth of experience, including working in the position of General Manager - Early Childhood for C&K. She led the trial of the federally funded Mobile Kindergarten Trial for C&K and in partnership with the Office of Early Childhood. Her role was instrumental in providing advice and assistance to State and Federal governments at the beginning of the Flying Start initiatives of the Queensland Government and of the Federal Government’s commitment to Universal Access. Lisa was also a member of the Curriculum Implementation Reference Group that supported the publishing of C&K's Building Waterfalls: A living and learning curriculum framework and Too Much Too Soon.
