Research expertise
This body of research focuses on children and young people’s conceptualisation of development, and key associated factors in their education including curricula, schooling, teachers, student-teachers, parents, earlier maturation, and technology. A key aspect is how can educational professionals respond effectively to assist young people in meaningful ways. Current research examines the role and understandings of new teachers in response to changed departmental policies, processes and requirements regarding young people’s contemporary development and experiences.
