Adult and Vocational Education

Our programs will prepare you to work confidently as a teacher, trainer or administrator in the expanding sectors of vocational education and training (VET), VET in high school, and adult and community education (ACE).

How will studying AVE at Griffith assist to give you an edge?
- Learn as you work. In addition to on-campus tutorials, we provide flexible modes of study, part and full-time. Working from home or workplace is not a problem.
- Credit. With vocational qualifications and experience you'll receive credit towards an AVE degree.
- Track record. Programs are taught by the most longstanding area of adult and teacher vocational education in Australia, since 1978.
- Staff experience. Our lecturers have "been there, done that". They've all had successful vocational careers, have taught in the VET sector through TAFE or private training providers, and are now teacher educators and researchers.
- Open Access. Enrolments are twice a year. You apply directly to Griffith University.
