Master of Teaching Primary (Junior)

This degree is offered in an accelerated study mode over 18 months full-time, which includes a summer semester.  This means that you can complete your studies sooner and be equipped to start teaching in a primary (junior) school. It includes the following study areas: informing discipline studies, key learning area studies, and professional experience and practice. Graduates are eligible for registration as teachers with the Queensland College of Teachers.  Canadian students are also eligible to apply for teacher certification with College of Teachers in Ontario, Nova Scotia Teacher Registration Authority, Alberta Certification and British Columbia College of Teachers.

Master of Teaching Secondary

This degree is offered in an accelerated mode over 18 months full-time, which includes a summer semester.  This means you can complete your studies sooner and be equipped to start teaching in a secondary school. It includes the following studies informing discipline studies, education studies, curriculum studies in two teaching areas, and professional experience and practice. You can specialise in two of the following areas:

  • Drama
  • English
  • Film/Media
  • Health and Physical Education
  • Mathematics
  • Music
  • Social Science
  • Science
  • Visual Arts

Graduates are eligible for registration as teachers with the Queensland College of Teachers.  Canadian students are also eligible to apply for teacher certification with College of Teachers in Ontario, Nova Scotia Teacher Registration Authority, Alberta Certification and British Columbia College of Teachers.
