Griffith University is considered the leading Australian university for graduates of Canadian universities looking for postgraduate teacher education. Our Master of Teaching is offered on the Gold Coast campus and exclusively to international students. To date over 3000 Canadian students have graduated from our Master of Teaching.
Why study a Master of Teaching?
- You'll have the opportunity to enjoy salary advantages, compared with graduates of one year programs. Some of our graduates have indicated that they have been assigned to the highest commencement salary at the beginning of their teaching careers, when they return to Canada.
- You'll graduate with ‘real world’ teaching experience. This program features an intensive professional field studies program, which includes 109 days of school experience. There are two major professional placements and a 45 days internship, where you will work with a mentor or teacher for a considerable period of time.
- You'll enhance your international study experience. The internship, which includes an action research project, can be completed in Canada, New Zealand or a range of areas within Australia. This means you get to finish your studies back in Canada, or explore another location before you return home.
