The Primary HPE specialisation provides advanced skills in physical education pedagogy and content and to extend organisational and behaviour management strategies from previous Bachelor of Education Primary courses. Previous experience in HPE lesson planning is extended to include ability to plan for and teach from varying pedagogical styles, to plan fitness activities that are motivating and appropriate for primary-aged children and to evaluate HPE specialist teaching.
The Bachelor of Education Secondary HPE teaching area specialisation will enable you to develop the skills and knowledge to teach health and physical education and one other subject at secondary level.
Postgraduate programs cover the theory and practice of teaching, concentrating on the characteristics of learners and teachers in middle and senior secondary schooling environments and the social and educational contexts of education. The programs include education studies, curriculum studies in nominated teaching areas and professional experience.
