Shanghai, China - Cocktail Party and Networking Event
On Saturday 16 March, Vice Chancellor and President Professor Ian O'Connor hosted over 40 Alumni at the networking event held in China.
The Alumni learnt about the latest developments at your University, whilst networking with like-minded professionals. One of lucky Almuni even won an iPad.

China Alumni Network Events in Beijing and Guangzhou in September
To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Australia and China Vice Chancellor and President Professor Ian O'Connor hosted two Griffith Alumni 40th Anniversary Events in China in September. Sydney Alumni Network Reunion
Vice Chancellor and President Professor Ian O'Connor hosted a reunion for our alumni now based in Sydney. The evening of networking and socialising was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. Take a look at the photos taken on the night.
Griffith Alumni 40th Anniversary Celebrations in Beijing and Guangzhou
In May, Deputy Vice Chancellor and Provost Professor Marilyn McMeniman AM hosted two Griffith Alumni cocktail receptions in China to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our two countries. Over 200 Griffith alumni attended the events in Beijing and Guangzhou and made the most of the chance to network with fellow graduates and Griffith staff. In Beijing, we were honoured to hear Griffith Alumnus and former President of BHP Billiton China, Mr Clinton Dines, address the audience.
In September, Vice Chancellor and President Professor Ian O'Connor will travel to China to host a second Griffith Alumni event and also to announce the winners of the Alumnus of the Decade competition. Melbourne Alumni Network Reunion
On Thursday 10th May, Vice Chancellor and President Professor Ian O'Connor hosted a reunion for our alumni living and working in Melbourne. Once again, attendance was outstanding and the opportunity to hear from and meet the Vice Chancellor embraced by all in attendance. Feedback was so positive, we have already begun planning a future alumni event.
