'Wan Whun: Stories of Kashmir's War Widows', a photography exhibition by Marisol Da Silva

Art exhibition opening

6.30pm

'Decades of war has left thousands widowed, orphaned and vulnerable to exploitation. 'Wan Whun' offers a glimpse into the complex lives of Muslim women in Kashmir, and I hope it will encourage a cross-cultural dialogue of compassion and understanding.'

Guest speaker:
Diana Rah talks about war, women, family, and her experience living in Kashmir from 1975–1996. Diana works with the Muslim community for The University of Newcastle and is the Secretary for the Newcastle Muslim Association
