Workplace Contact List

When seeking graduate employment, students often find it invaluable to talk to experienced professionals in their chosen field.

The Workplace Contact List aims to link Griffith University students with industry professionals or contacts, who can assist them with information regarding career and employment issues via short, one-off contacts. Students initiate enquiries with contacts via email.

Students may seek information about issues such as how to enter an industry or profession; the type of work invovled in a graduate role; typical career paths; how to gain work experience and how to build networks within industry.

Students obtain information about contacts' career backgrounds from the Workplace Contact List website. They may then send an email outlining their career or employment-related questions to which contacts may respond via email or by phone at their convenience.

Students are required to agree to privacy and etiquette provisions before they may participate.

As well as local participants, we welcome contacts from other parts of Australia and overseas as we have a high proportion of both international students and Australian students with a global focus. As the Workplace Contact List operates on-line, it is possible for contacts from all over the world to participate.

Contacts may specify the number of emails they wish to receive each year from Griffith students thus giving them discretion over the extent of their involvement.
