Since its establishment in 1991 the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University has established a world-class reputation in research and teaching.
The CCJ Alumni Network provides a forum for graduates, students and staff of the School to socialise and work together. The network is the focal point for easy communication about professional activities, developments in criminal justice, invitations to guest speaker seminars and staff seminars, notices about conferences, and opportunities to maintain contact with academic staff.

Charlie Perkins Scholarship success
Ms Krystal Lockwood has been presented with a Charlie Perkins Trust scholarship, awarded to outstanding Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander graduates to study in the UK for three years. Krystal graduated from her Criminology and Criminal Justice honours degree last year and will use the scholarship to pursue her PhD at either Oxford or Cambridge. She credits her determination, hard work and strong support networks with being offered a place to study at both the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford.
"To receive the Charlie Perkins Scholarship is a privilege and an incredible opportunity."
Criminology and Criminal Justice Alumnus of the Year
Ms Sarah Hyde was awarded the Criminology and Criminal Justice Alumnus of the Year at the inaugural Arts, Education and Law Alumni Awards in November 2011.
The awards recognise the significant work being undertaken by our alumni. They acknowledge and celebrate our former students' outstanding success, and contributions to their profession, chosen field and to the community.
Ms Sarah Hyde graduated from Griffith with a double degree - Bachelor of Behavioural Science and Bachelor of Art (CCJ). As a graduate Sarah joined Queensland Corrective Services and within 6 years she was appointed as General Manager of Probation and Parole. In 2009 she became the Regional Manager, Metro North Probation and Parole.
Ms Hyde's clear commitment to improving services provided to offenders by Queensland Corrective Services is also reflected in her continuing engagement with the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice through Careers evenings and other school initiatives.
