Corporate governance and social responsibility

Focusses on socially responsible investment and integrity in governance of morally contested industries, such as gambling.

Values and institutions for a globalizing world

Research focussing on institutional governance structures and values that are needed in a globalising world.

Integrity and anti-corruption

Seeks to improve the measurement of corruption and works to map 'integrity systems' that counter corruption and build ethics into individual agencies nationally and internationally.

Islamic studies in Australia

The central aim of the Griffith Islamic Research Unit is to promote Wasatiyya or balanced and contextualised understanding of Islam and Muslims in an Australian context.

Crime Causes, Control and Prevention

Crime control and policy

Addresses issues of controlling crime and other significant social problems through the use of crime prevention approaches including situational crime prevention, policing practices and private security operations.

Innovative justice

Research focuses on establishing innovative mechanisms of responding to crime and deviance in society through examining and evaluating institutions, systems, and processes of justice.

Justice modelling

Integrating criminological theory, modelling methods and advanced quantitative analysis, to deliver tools for evidence based decision making in the area of justice policy.

Prevention and developmental pathways

Brings together expertise in crime prevention, developmental and forensic psychology, criminology and corrections theory to focus on ways in which community safety and human development may be promoted more equitably by institutions of care rather than institutions of regulation.

Preventing sexual violence and abuse

Through a unique combination of developmental, situational, clinical and justice system approaches, this innovative, team-based research addresses the prevention of sexual violence and abuse in our community.
