Google Earth Live

Imagine a world at your fingertips of live or recently uploaded feed of satellite video. Not just a static image, but moving images (video feed). Satellite imagery would never be the same old thing again. Imagine, one day you view an empty block of land for sale on Google Earth Live, look at it the next day, SOLD, construction starts before your very eyes. This could educate people to have a better understanding of what's going on around the world and how things work. Still images are good, but live video feed is better!

In order for this idea to be brought to life, picture satellites would have to either be switched to a video recording mode, or new satellites would have to be placed in space. If people can learn several things by searching through Google Earth, then imagine the possibilities of Google Earth Live. This would change the way people view the earth from a paused perspective into a live perspective.

Tim wrote at 04:22pm 17 october 2010 Google Earth uses aerial photography (from planes). To make Google Earth 'live' you would need to have a LOT of planes constantly in the air. Nice idea, but impractical.
