Venue

  • Venue for the conference is Griffith University?s Queensland College of Art, South Bank Campus, Building S05, 226 Grey St, South Bank Q 4101.
  • Plenary sessions will be held in the QCA (S05) Central Lecture Theatre. Daily break out sessions will be held in the Webb Centre (S02) and Griffith Graduate Centre (S07) at South Bank.

Travel

  • QCA is located approximately 30 minutes by train or taxi from the Domestic Airport.
  • Taxis can be booked through Yellow Cabs (Phone: 13 19 24), Black and White Cabs (Phone: 13 10 08) or Taxis Australia (Phone: 13 22 27).
  • Airtrain services both the International and Domestic Airports, traveling outbound through Eagle Junction, Bowen Hills, Fortitude Valley, Central, Roma Street, South Brisbane (Rydges) and South Bank stations (Mantra South Bank, Conference venue, Hillcrest Central Apartments (the latter is an approx. 1 km walk)).
  • Local train and bus services are handy to QCA. Visit Translink?s website for timetable information.
  • South Bank campus parking is strictly limited to university vehicles and emergency services. Nearby South Bank Parklands Underground Carpark has more than 800 spaces, although fees do apply.

Accommodation

Accommodation is the responsibility of delegates and should be arranged directly with the hotel of your choice.

The 'best available' / government rates have been secured with three hotels closest to the venue [for the duration]. Rooms are subject to availability.

Payment is required 30 days from check in date and is recommended via electronic funds transfer or cheque (payable to Rydges South Bank Hotel); credit card transactions incur a fee.
Please enquire of the hotel's cancellation policies when reserving your room. All reservations require the provision of credit card details or a security deposit at the time of booking. Additional charges apply to [Brisbane] River view rooms which are subject to availability. Breakfast inclusions should be noted when booking to secure these special rates.
