Venue
The 2nd State of Australian Cities conference was held at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University, Brisbane. Part of Brisbane's cultural precinct, it is situated within the South Bank Parklands and just across the river from the Brisbane CBD. South Bank features:
- Seventeen hectares of gardens and lawns
- Streets Beach
- Queensland Performing Arts Centre
- Queensland Museum, Science Centre, State Library and Gallery of Modern Art
- Little Stanley Street, containing cafes, restaurants, bars and boutique retail outlets
South Bank is well known for its relaxed atmosphere with numerous recreational opportunities. South Bank is also conveniently for public transport, with ferry, rail and South East Busway connections.
