Instructions for Presenters

Paper Style to be Followed

Papers can be submitted in Adobe PDF format or as a Microsoft Word document.

Downloadable from this page are two documents to be used for the preparation of your paper if using Microsoft Word. One describes the actions you need to follow to meet the style, the other provides a blank Word document if you are writing your paper from scratch.

We have explicitly stated the style for those of you using other word processing software. In simple terms it is the Microsoft Windows defaults of 12pt, Times Roman and the classic settings Heading1, Heading2, Heading3.

The deadline for Final Manuscript is 6 August.

If you have trouble downloading these files, you may need to right-click on the link then select "Save target as..." or "Save link as...".

Bio to Introduce You

We would like a short bio (100 - 300 words) for the session chair to use to introduce you. We will accept these now because they are normally sitting on PCs ready-to-go. Email your bio to hpcasia2001@mlaa.com.au

Your Presentation Slides

We will need your presentation slides by 9am Monday September 10. This will enable us to have a back-up copy on our equipment just in case anything happens with your own equipment on the way to the conference. Email the material to hpcasia2001@mlaa.com.au Of course you'll be able to use the latest version right up until you walk onto the podium. But our copy is security for both of us. If you would like to use our PC to drive your ppt please let us know.

A/V Set-up at the Conference

At the venue will be an A/V set-up which allows you to connect your laptop into cabling at the front of the room. There will be two sets of cables, one for each speaker in each session so both can be ready-to-go prior to the audience returning after the break. There will also be an audio feed if you want to play sound. At the rear of the room will be a back-up PC containing your ppt files. A professional A/V operator will manage the switching between the PCs.

If you intend to go online or do anything unusual during your presentation please let us know now so we can plan to make this easy for all concerned. Email hpcasia2001@mlaa.com.au or phone 07 3878 2974

If you have any queries please feel free to ask us at anytime. Our goal is to make this a great conference for all the speakers, sponsors and delegates.
