e-Agenda International Summit

The e-Agenda International Summit, an innovative and challenging new event, is to be held in San Diego, USA from 12th - 14th December 2004. The Summit is the fifth and final of the e-Agenda global events and activities for 2004 and offers an exceptional opportunity for senior executives, visionaries and decision makers to benefit from the best of our year-long discourse, deliberations and activities in progressing e-Learning, e-Training and e-Knowledge. The Summit will bring together the key individuals from education, industry and government who are committed to seeing e-Learning and knowledge management become integral to organisational practice and ideology and to return tangible benefits to individuals, organisations and society at large.

Invited keynotes include: Professor Diana Laurillard, Head, eLearning Strategy Unit, Department for Education and Skills, UK, Matthew Pittinsky, Chairman Blackboard Inc; Professor Allison Rossett, San Diego State University, USA; Professor Bob Fryer, CEO National Health Services University and Vice-Chancellor Designate, UK; Nicole Melander, Senior Director of Worldwide Higher Education Strategy, Microsoft Corporation. These speakers will be joined by an additional fifteen internationally renowned presenters, selected by the Executive Council from the International Roundtable, held in Australia in August, 2004.

The Summit will commence with a welcome Reception, on Sunday 12 December, hosted by the e-Agenda Deputy Patron, and Vice-Chancellor and President (Ag), Griffith University, Professor Ian O'Connor.

The program offers participants maximum exposure to the latest in research and forward thinking from the education and corporate sector and will include ample time for networking with the leading thinkers and visionaries in a broad, yet relevant, range of fields, including systems integration, IT infrastructure, learning innovation, organisational change and collaboration. The two day program will also provide participants with an opportunity to contribute individually to the ongoing e-Agenda and to present their own ideas in the Innovations Lounge. Additional Summit activities will include expert panel sessions, discussions and incisive critiques.

On behalf of the e-Agenda 2004 Executive Council, we look forward to seeing you there.

I think one of the great things about this conference is that it brings together the pioneers … and there was just such a great exchange going on, there was controversy, there was debate, there was argument … but there were also solutions.
