About the Gold Coast

World-renowned beaches, balmy weather, World Heritage-listed rainforest add up to one of Australia’s leading tourism regions.

Including 35 white sandy beaches, the region has long been a favourite leisure destination for Australians and overseas visitors, with around 23 million visitor nights spent in the region annually.

About Broadbeach

Home to one of the most pristine beaches in the world, Broadbeach is perfectly located close to restaurants, cafes, shops and nightlife and all within easy reach of the Gold Coast’s many theme parks, golf courses and other attractions.

Home to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Broadbeach offers a village atmosphere where you may choose from one of the many multi award-winning restaurants or chic coffee houses or trendy eateries all centrally located within easy walking distance.

Climate

The Gold Coast enjoys a subtropical climate with around 300 days of sunshine a year. More often than not the sun is shining and the days are pleasant.

About the Gold Cost Convention and Exhibition Centre

The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre is a multi award winning facility opened in 2004. Located in the heart of the Gold Coast (Broadbeach) it has provided one of the world’s great tourist destinations with a world class convention and exhibition facility catering for a broad range of national and international events alike.

With extensive use of glass, the shell like configuration of the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre makes a memorable statement of contemporary architecture which reflects the culture and vibrancy of the Gold Coast. Accommodation

Australia’s Gold Coast is an international destination with many accommodation and budget options from basic accommodation to luxury five-star hotels and resorts, selfcontained apartments, motels, farm-stays, eco-lodges, houseboats and bed and breakfasts. Few other destinations offer the choice of accommodation with 63,000 beds available.

1,200+ accommodation rooms are located within walking distance of the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. Reflecting the Gold Coast’s international status is the variety of well known hotel operators including: Sheraton, Hyatt, Marriott, Radisson, Crowne Plaza, Conrad, Sofitel and the world’s first Palazzo Versace Hotel. The Gold Coast also caters for the budget traveller with a range of budget hotels, apartment and backpacker accommodation options within a two to five minute walk of the Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Broadbeach Precinct (3 km radius) of which the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre is a part of contains 8,028 accommodation rooms. Moving further afield to include the Surfers Paradise precinct (8 km radius) the total accommodation rooms expand to 27,626.

Special Conference rates have been booked at hotels and apartments close to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.  These rates are available to delegates by booking through the on-line registration system.
