The following fees and charges will apply for Continuing Education Certificate programs.
Application fee
A non-refundable application fee of $45.00 (GST inclusive) must be submitted at the time of application. This application fee does not guarantee entry to any certificate program.
Tuition fees for 2012
Tuition fees for continuing education certificate students vary according to the study range or 'band' which is set by the Commonwealth government. The cost of the program depends on the 'bands' to which each certificate program is linked:
- Band 1: Law - $4840*
- Band 2: BA and some Arts programs - $6320
- Band 3: Business - $6920
- Band 4: Education, IT and some Arts programs - $7480
- Band 5: Music, Visual Arts, Psychology and Human Services - $8040
- Band 6: Engineering, Science, Environmental Science and Health - $9280
Paying your fees and charges
Tuition fees are charged per course/per semester.
Therefore, students are only liable for the charges related to the semester of study - e.g. students undertaking the 40CP Continuing Education Certificate in Business are committing to a full fee-paying charge of $6620. However, the total tuition fee charged in Semester 1 is $3310 (20CP) with the final $3310 (20CP) payable in Semester 2.
Fees are payable in full by the end of week four of each semester to avoid a late payment penalty and cancellation of enrolment.
The Academic Account Charge (invoice) is available via the online Student Centre. The student is notified via their university email when the Academic Charges Account is available each semester. Payment options and relevant details are listed on the bottom of the Academic Charges Account. For further information on tuition fees and payment options, refer to the Tuition fees and charges website.
Tuition fees for certificate (non-award) programs are not eligible for HECS, Fee-Help, HECS-Help or OS-Help assistance and therefore, attract an up-front full-fee paying tuition charge.
The fees are quoted in Australian dollars and apply to domestic students only.
The majority of continuing education certificate programs are structured for part-time study within a 12-month period. Students are advised to contact Centrelink directly to determine individual eligibility for Centrelink benefits whilst undertaking part-time study.
- Part-time student:

- Full-time student:

- Where a student owes Griffith University money for fees or fines, Griffith will not provide the student's academic results to QTAC or UAC until all outstanding fees or fines are paid. QTAC or UAC will not process the student's application until the fees have been paid.
