Amanda spent three weeks in Northern Laos. Amanda offered local villagers in the area health education, and promoted good hygiene practices during clinics held every day.
During her stay she found a deeper understanding of the people she treated, and also developed her nursing skills.

Dennika spent three weeks in Northern Laos, assisting the local villagers with health education and promotion, including hygiene and further self care for mothers and their babies. She found occasions to learn more, and also improved her nursing skills - in a setting which rivalled anything she'd experienced previously.

Abbey Dawe

Abbey has conducted classes for U3A, an organisation offering further education to older people, especially those who are geographically, physically or socially isolated.
Abbey tought basic classical history and chemistry to her group, and speaks about how she's found novel ways to bridge the gap between the ages.

Clare Poppi
Jewellery and Small Objects Student Collective (Bachelor of Fine Arts)

Clare is currently working on producing a trophy for the South Bank Business Group. The award is for businesses that use sustainable practices. She is making the trophy out of 100% recycled or reclaimed materials such as recycled copper, brass, timber, linoleum, laminex etc.
This also ties into the research she is doing this year for her Honours project which is looking at assessing sustainable ideals and practices in jewellery and small objects.

Josh is a Social Enterprise student on placement with the Redcliffe Museum's Significant Objects project.
He assessed, categorised and reported on important local historical objects and artifacts in the museums possesion.
