Benefits of work integrated learning
- You have:
- the chance to review talented students, align them with your organisation’s culture and help develop their employability skills.
- input into the educational curriculum for your particular industry.
- the opportunity to benefit from student work and project outcomes.
- It’s a cost-effective way to fund resource gaps for projects and activities that might not usually be possible.
- Griffith manages the program and supports your student to achieve the project and academic outcomes.
What industry partners need
To engage a student you need a general project concept or program of work, and a staff member to supervise the student. In most cases there is no cost to the company hosting the student. Griffith trains students in general workplace health and safety but you should also give your student a thorough safety induction once they arrive in your workplace.
WIL provides an opportunity to grow business potential with very little outlay while employing inventive industrious students who want to maximise their exposure to new industries and new technologies. Stephen Sushames, DataShield
