Why study at Griffith?

There are many reasons to study tourism at Griffith. Here are just a few.

Been there, done that

Griffith was one of the first universities in Australia to develop degrees in Tourism and Hotel Management and we continue to lead the field today.

Our Department of Tourism, Leisure, Hotel and Sport Management has won the Queensland Tourism Awards for Excellence in Industry Education seven times since 1993.

Research excellence

Griffith's tourism researchers were recently ranked the number one contributors to tourism research in Australia and sixth in the world. Griffith University has also recently become a member of the World Tourism Organisation.

Experience work

Every student can do a minimum of 250 hours of relevant industry experience during their second and third years. You won't just graduate with the theory, but the experience.
