Griffith Business School Sustainable Enterprise

Griffith Business School believes the business leaders of tomorrow should take corporate responsibility and sustainability as seriously as the bottom line. That's why we are integrating corporate global responsibility principles across all of our programs, including the establishment of the Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Enterprise, and hosting our Sustainable Enterprise Seminar Series, highlighting issues and solutions in global business leadership.

Business is increasingly looking for practical and sustainable models to respond to a growing range of sustainability related challenges. With sustainability increasingly multidisciplinary in nature, and central to government, business and community agendas, workable solutions require practical and integrated models of response that span business, environment, science, law, economics and sociology.

The Asia-Pacific Centre for Sustainable Enterprise

The Asia-Pacific Centre for Sustainable Enterprise has been established to address these needs. The Centre is a highly collaborative entity with strong national and international connections to industry, academe, government and relevant non-government organisations. It includes a vibrant research culture, innovative teaching and learning programs, industry and community engagement activities.

The Centre was launched by the Queensland Minister for Climate Change and Sustainability, The Hon Kate Jones MP on Tuesday, 26 May 2009. Ms Jones was joined by Professor Malcolm McIntosh, newly appointed Professor of Sustainable Enterprise with Griffith Business School and Director of the Asia-Pacific Centre for Sustainable Enterprise; Mr David Vidal, Director of the Centre for Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability, The Conference Board, New York; and Professor Michael Powell, Pro Vice Chancellor (Business).
