Politics and public administration
The government accounts for roughly forty per cent of the Australian economy, making a degree in Public Administration a smart career move. Graduates can be found in a myriad of careers, particularly as senior managers, political advisors or policy analysts throughout all levels of government, in Non Governmental Organization's, and in industry and advocacy groups.
Our Department of Politics and Public Policy is among Australia's leading centres of research and teaching in politics, public policy and public management. Staff have a strong tradition of moving between the University and senior positions in government and non-government organisations, ensuring our knowledge of current industry developments is second to none.
We are a foundation partner of the Australian and New Zealand School of Government - developing the future generation of public sector leaders, and promoting public administration as a profession.
