The Master of Business Administration is offered at our South Bank and Gold Coast campuses. It takes 1.5 years full-time or 3 years part-time (120 Credit Points), however credit for prior study may reduce the program duration by up to 40 Credit Points. You may enrol in the Master of Business Administration in Semester 1 (February) or Semester 2 (July).
Program details
If you are an experienced professional, our MBA will advance your core executive capabilities and provide opportunities for increasing thought leadership in your chosen specialisation. The core program is offered in weekend and early evening modes to accommodate both part and full-time students. Opportunities are provided to build on the core integrated courses through areas of specialisation provided below.
Compulsory courses cover areas including economics, accounting, finance, marketing, strategic management, human resource management, leadership, and data analysis.
In addition to the compulsory courses, you are able to select a specialisation (comprised of four courses), from the following areas:
- Finance
- Financial Planning
- General Management
- Human Resource Management
- Information Systems
- International Business
- Marketing Management
- Educational Leadership
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Advance your skills and expertise further. The Honours program provides a pathway for MBA eligible students to undertake a supervised dissertation on a topic of their choice. The dissertation can then form the basis for entry into a research higher degree program.
Eligible students can also elect to undertake the International Exchange Program.
Admission
To be eligible for admission to the MBA program, you must:
- hold a bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) and have achieved the equivalent of a minimum grade point average of 4.5 (using a 7.0 point scale) and have a minimum of three years relevant equivalent full-time work experience post-degree including two years equivalent full-time in a management or supervisory level position in a business environment; or
or
- hold a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from Griffith University with a minimum grade point average of 4.0 and have a minimum of two years equivalent full-time work experience in a management or supervisory level position in a business environment.
Note: Degrees from overseas institutions must be assessed as equivalent to a recognised Australian bachelors level degree.
To be eligible for admission to the Graduate Certificate in Business Administration program, you must:
- Have a minimum of 7 years equivalent full-time work experience including 2 years in a management or supervisory level in a business environment.

- Domestic student: $30,540 (120 Credit Points)
- International student: $33,600 (120 Credit Points)
