An undergraduate degree in Industrial Relations may make you eligible for admission to the following professional bodies:
- Australian Institute of Management
- Institute of Business Administrators
- Institute of Corporate Managers, Secretaries and Administrators (on completion of additional postgraduate programs)
- Local Government Clerks' Board
Postgraduate students will have acquired knowledge that is relevant at the workplace and organisational level (e.g. for those involved in enterprise bargaining and the management of staff), at peak body level (e.g. for those employed by employer associations and unions) and for those involved in policy formulation and implementation (e.g. in state and commonwealth departments). You will graduate will the skills to manage the formulation of policy and its implementation in the context of changing international, national and industry based employment practices. You will also be capable of assuming advisory and consultant positions and also industrial officer and organiser positions in employer associations, employment relations consulting firms and unions.
