Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics
The Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics offers industry recognised undergraduate and postgraduate programs in accounting, banking, business statistics, economics, finance and financial planning.
We have close ties with the Centre for Financial Independence and Education, and the Centre for Organisational Governance and Performance Management at Griffith University. We regularly produce a journal called Accounting, Accountability and Performance which focuses on issues in accounting, banking and finance, as well as public sector performance and accountability.
According to 2004 commerce graduate Luke Gleeson, hands-on learning at Griffith has paid dividends, landing him a dream job with Ord Minnett Stock Broking and Wealth Management straight out of Uni. In 2007 Luke took a position as Private Client Advisor with Macquarie Private Wealth, and his new boss Ross Sorbello is another Griffith graduate!
