The franchise industry is a significant contributor to the Australian economy, yet there has been limited applied industry research. Applied academic research can be a catalyst to innovation and can assist with the future development of the industry. The Asia-Pacific Centre for Franchising Excellence seeks to address the need for dedicated research and ongoing focus on the industry.

The Asia-Pacific focus acknowledges Australia’s expanding role in the region. Australian franchises are increasingly expanding their operations off-shore, with Asia being of strategic importance.

The Centre works closely with Industry and Government to meet the needs of the franchise sector and is open to developing further partnerships to advance the franchise industry.
