Master of Commerce (Professional Accounting)

The Master of Commerce (Professional Accounting) is offered at our Gold Coast and Nathan campuses. It takes 1.5 years full-time or 3 years part-time (120 Credit Points), however credit for prior study may reduce the program duration by up to 40 Credit Points. You may enrol in the Master of Commerce in Semester 1 (February - available at both campuses) or Semester 2 (July - available at Nathan only).

Program structure

You will complete the following foundation courses (40 Credit Points):

  • Accounting
  • Economics
  • Business Statistics
  • Corporate Finance

Plus the following 80 Credit Points of courses (to satisfy professional accreditation requirements):

  • Information Systems and Knowledge Management
  • Corporate Accounting
  • Management Accounting and Strategy
  • Income Tax Law
  • Accounting Theory
  • Corporate Auditing
  • Corporations Law

Students may exit the Masters program early with the Graduate Certificate in Commerce award after the successful completion of 40 Credit Points of prescribed courses.
