Accounting

Accountancy is a vibrant, challenging profession and it takes special people with a sharp mind and an eye for detail to succeed. With global demand for qualified accountants reaching unprecedented levels, it's a great time to get qualified.

The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations' Australian jobs 2006 predicts that future employment growth for accountants is expected to be strong until at least 2010.

Our undergraduate and postgraduate accounting degrees are heavily influenced by the latest research and industry approaches. Accounting research at Griffith University has been ranked internationally as seventh (out of 37 universities) in Australia and in the top 100 in the world. The ranking, published in the latest edition of Accounting and Finance, was based on the top 24 accounting journals internationally and ranked Griffith 72 out of more than 1000 institutions worldwide.
