Professor Lorelle Frazer

Director of the Asia-Pacific Centre for Franchising Excellence, Professor Lorelle Frazer is Australia’s, and one of the world’s, leading franchising researchers. She’s been researching franchising issues for more than a decade and is across a range of challenges faced by the sector. Her research is often quoted by government and has been used to drive positive policy reform.
Lorelle is also Dean (Learning and Teaching), Griffith Business School and has received multiple awards and recognition for her high standard of teaching and quality assurance methods for student learning. She is also a member of the franchise sector regulator, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission’s consultative committee and in 2010 was awarded the Franchise Council of Australia’s National Contribution to Franchising Award.
Adjunct Lecturer Jason Gehrke
Griffith University Adjunct Lecturer Jason Gehrke is Director of the Franchise Advisory Centre and has been working with the franchise sector for 20 years. He knows the challenges franchise businesses face and has seen, written, advised and commented on many examples of franchise success and franchise failure. Jason has worked as a consultant for more than 80 franchise businesses and run workshops with more than 500 different franchises from start-ups through to multi-million dollar businesses including some of Australia’s biggest brands. His practical, down-to-earth teaching style is well regarded by students.
