Research into the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show was conducted in 2008 to evaluate the marketing and economic impact of the event.
Project Team Leader Professor Bill Merrilees said the research revealed the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show was setting a new standard for events on the Gold Coast.
"The scale of this impact is impressive and sets a new benchmark for Gold Coast events," Professor Merrilees said.
Studies were conducted among stakeholders including patrons, exhibitors, suppliers and Show Teams.
