Programs and courses

Combining tradition and innovation, Griffith's arts programs give you an excellent base for study and work in the 21st century - from the timeless humanities and languages, to growth areas such as journalism, creative writing, public relations and digital video.

Islamic Studies

From 2008, Griffith will offer Islamic Studies as a field of undergraduate study within its Bachelor of Arts program. This new development is funded by the Australian government through the National Centre of Excellence in Islamic Studies, hosted by the University of Melbourne in partnership with Griffith University and the University of Western Sydney.  Courses developed by all three universities can be taken by Griffith students.

Courses will explore issues ranging from Islamic history, political thought and gender issues, to the study of economics and finance in Muslim societies.

Pathways to Arts

If you are not successful in obtaining a place in the Griffith Arts program that most interests you, there are a number of 'pathways' to increase your chances of gaining a future place.
