The Bachelor of Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art degree program is designed to prepare Indigenous students for practice as professional artists. It is the only university degree program of its kind that combines both theory and practice for Indigenous students and is taught by Indigenous lecturing staff.

Approved GUESTS students that successfully complete their required course from the list below will be eligible to apply for the guaranteed entry into the Bachelor of Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art. You will also receive full credit for the satisfactorily completed course if you are later admitted to the Bachelor of Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art.

Applications for the GUESTS courses from the Bachelor of Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art will be assessed by the Program Convenor.

Eligibility and entry requirements

Approved GUESTS must meet the prerequisites for the degree program which are English (4SA) plus portfolio and questionnaire. Applicants will also be required to undertake an interview and applicants must also identify themselves as Indigenous Australian.
