To determine who will be offered a place in a particular program, Griffith University looks at all applicants' ranks and/or student profiles which are basic measures of academic merit for tertiary purposes.
An Overall Position is used for most applicants completing Year 12 in Queensland. All other applicants are assigned a rank on the basis of their previous secondary school, tertiary, bridging and preparatory studies, professional and para-professional qualifications, vocational experience or approved admissions tests.
You can be assigned more than one rank and each one corresponding (as appropriate) to your secondary, tertiary or other qualifications. Where you are entitled to more than one rank, these will generally be put in order from highest (as the most important selector) to lowest.
