English language proficiency applies if you are an International applicant or if you are a domestic applicant but your previous study was undertaken in a language other than English.
The minimum English language requirements for entry to undergraduate programs are listed in the University's Admission policy for undergraduate programs.
There are also some exceptions for education undertaken in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Germany and the Netherlands. These are listed in Schedule A of the Admission policy for undergraduate programs under the English language proficiency requirements section.
If you do not meet these requirements but you have completed secondary schooling and your studies were taught in English, you should submit full supporting documentation with your application. If you completed your studies in a country where English is not the first language, then you are required to provide evidence of your English proficiency.
If you do not meet the University's specified English language requirements, you may wish to contact the Griffith English Language Institute to increase your eligibility for entering a Griffith University program. GELI offers a number of English language and other courses at both its Brisbane and Gold Coast branches.
