We need you! Griffith Accommodation is calling for submissions for short videos to promote the benefits of living on campus at Griffith University. Who better to tell potential students than current Griffith students?
 
The video submissions will be narrowed to a group of finalists, and will be voted on by you, the students. The winning video will be loaded to the Griffith Accommodation website to promote the Colleges.

Video Criteria

Videos will be judged on their entertainment value, positive marketing and accuracy. A panel of Griffith accommodation and marketing staff will decide upon the finalist videos. The final three videos will be open to voting on facebook. The winning video will have the most ‘likes’/comments (one vote per person).

A few criteria to note...

  • Videos should be between 30 seconds -2 minutes in length
  • All participants must sign a image release form (DOC 56k) and the registration form (PDF 204k).
  • Videos cannot contain copyright material (eg. images, motion pictures,music) - copyright free music resources can be found below
  • Videos may not contain drugs, alcohol, nudity or illegal activity. We encourage you to keep the videos G rated.
  • Submissions are to be loaded to youtube and the link emailed to the submission email.
  • You maybe asked for your video on DVD
  • Only current Griffith College residents are eligible to enter. Participants may receive help from nonresidential Griffith students.

Winner receives prizes valued at $200
$120 co-op bookshop voucher + $80 voucher for G’s

Submitting Videos

Submissions are due 18 October, 2010.
Voting commences from 22 - 29 October, 2010.
Winner will be announced 29 October, 2010.

Video submitting will be via email. Post your video on youtube and email the link to: n.swift@griffith.edu.au along with your registration form (PDF 204k) and image release forms (DOC 56k). Forms may also be submitted at the Accommodation Office at Nathan or Mt Gravatt.

I’m in! But what do I do now?

Grab your video recording mobile phone, your video camera, or come and visit us in Campus life for help with your submission. The quality of the video is not important, it’s the message in the video. No experience is necessary.
Put together your ideas, find Griffith students to help you.
