Griffith University

2011 marks the 40th anniversary of the Queensland Parliament’s passage of the Griffith University Act to establish South East Queensland’s second university. Griffith was to be a different type of university, deeply engaged with and responsive to its region - locally, nationally and internationally. Forty years on, we have made significant progress in building one of the great, research-intensive, comprehensive universities of the Asia Pacific.

To mark this milestone the Chancellor Ms Leneen Forde AC and the Vice Chancellor and President Professor Ian O'Connor invite our Alumni to come back to campus and celebrate with us.
